KiteBrasília is a kitesurf (and wingsurf) school run by Josué Victor, known as "Jozuka", a physical education teacher who presents himself as a nationally accredited instructor. According to its website, the school has been teaching since 1999 on Lake Paranoá, at Península dos Ministros (QL 12, Lago Sul), in Brasília.
Jozuka developed a method in which students learn without being hooked in to the harness during the first lessons, with emphasis on safety and independence. Lessons are private (adults and children) with discounts for groups. The "KiteClasses" programme runs from an initial course (5 h) to a complete course (20 h: going upwind, self-rescue, independence in varied wind conditions, kite setup with different boards); a "Kids Evolution" programme is dedicated to children. The site also offers trips, DF wind forecasts and a webcam (KiteCAM Península).
When buying kite gear from the instructor, half of the amount is converted into lesson hours, according to the site.
