Michael's Kite Vacancies (MKV) is a family-run hotel and kitesurf station in Fanes, a village on the west coast of Rhodes far from mass tourism, a stone's throw from a kite spot. Michael's family has built the hotel and the centre over the decades; the station's beach bar is run by his daughter.
The kite school operates under VDWS regulations, with certified instructors and lessons in English, French, Italian and Spanish: kite and wing lessons in groups of 2 to 3 or private, and surf lessons. The centre is an official Cabrinha centre and rents Cabrinha kites only. The station also offers 25 covered, secured storage spaces, a rescue service and a large beach bar.
Hotel rooms are sold on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner prepared by the family).
