Kite Kalavarda is a kitesurf station on Kalavarda beach, on the west coast of Rhodes (Kameiros municipality), away from the tourist areas of the east. It is a brand of the German sports travel company OLA Sportreisen, which according to its website built the station about fifteen years ago and later added accommodation in the village. The team is led by station manager Jens Schneller.
The spot offers a 350 m sandy beach, wind described as reliable and channelled by the valley behind the village, and water that is often slightly choppy. The station offers kitesurf lessons (intensive, beginner, advanced, refresher, private) and wing foil lessons, a Duotone rental fleet, storage, a rescue jet ski and a boat taxi. It has shaded areas with hammocks, showers and a small beach bar, with a restaurant just above.
