Active Bol

Active Bol is a windsurfing, kitesurfing, wingfoiling, paddleboard and kayak centre located at Camp Aloa in Bol, on the island of Brač, between Bol and Murvica. Its founders describe themselves as windsurfers, kiteboarders and mountain bikers who have lived in Bol all their lives. The website highlights a reliable thermal mistral that builds through the day: gentle in the morning for beginners, stronger in the afternoon for experienced riders.

For windsurfing, the team states more than 25 years of experience and lessons in English, German, Croatian and Slovenian (beginner course, advanced course, private hours). Kiteboarding lessons follow IKO standards with an IKO-licensed instructor; the method is based on deep-water lessons from a speedboat with a maximum of 3 students, after about 1.5 hours of theory on the shore. Wingfoiling courses and rentals are also offered.

Windsurf equipment includes school boards, Tabou boards for freeride rental, JP Magic Move and Super Ride boards (100 to 145 litres) and Neilpryde sails. SUPs and kayaks can be rented by the hour or the day, with excursions during the season; guests on a weekly rental package get a free SUP or kayak when the mistral does not blow. Mountain bike rental is also available.
