School Presentation

Surf Island is a watersports club in western Crete, founded by Konstantinos Kostopoulos, with two stations: Falasarna (the main windsurfing station) and Kalamaki, near Chania. This fiche covers the station on Falasarna beach, which faces west, where the north-easterly Meltemi blows side-offshore in summer.

The website describes a long sandy beach with large shallow areas for beginners, an open bay for long freeride runs and a nearby flat-water area suited to freestyle. The center offers windsurfing, wingfoil, surfing (introductory waves) and SUP, with lessons for all levels, rentals, wind holidays and surf trips around western Crete.

The windsurf equipment is stated as GA Sails rigs and Tabou boards, from beginner to performance gear. Storage and security are available for guests bringing their own equipment.
