School Presentation
The Wind Tribe is a windsurf and wingfoil center in Elafonisi, at the far southwest of Crete, open from May to October. The spot is a flat, shallow, crystal-clear lagoon; the website describes a steady north-westerly side-shore wind without gusts, with summer thermal winds of force 4 to 5 Beaufort, sometimes 6.
The center offers windsurf lessons (beginner in small groups of 2 to 3, intermediate, advanced private only, forward loop, jibing and freestyle clinics) and wingfoil lessons (beginner with radio-assisted coaching, then foil), plus windsurf, wing and SUP/kayak rental. Every lesson includes free practice time subject to availability.
Stated equipment: GA Sails rigs from 1.5 to 7.7 m² with carbon masts and Tabou boards, light rigs for women and kids; Duotone and Takuma wings from 3.0 to 5.5 m². Lessons are led by qualified instructors.
