Windsurfing Club Sa Barra

Windsurfing Club Sa Barra (WCSB) was founded in 2009 by Gigi Madeddu to create a windsurfing reference point in the Sulcis area of south-west Sardinia. The club is based on the island of Sant'Antioco (linked to the mainland by a strip of land) and has since added kitesurfing, with a dedicated spot, and wingfoil.

The beginner school is held in Calasetta, on Spiaggia Grande at the Hotel Stella del Sud. Advanced courses take place at the centre in Sant'Antioco, at the Su Pranu spot. Windsurf courses run every day, with a theory and a practical part after a level assessment; they are taught in Italian and English by certified instructors. The club also teaches kitesurfing, wingfoil and stand up paddle.

The centre offers equipped parking five metres from the spot, toilets, showers and changing rooms, a rigging lawn, a picnic area and equipment storage. An airport transfer with equipment transport is available on request.

Every day, 10 am to 7 pm.
