KiteGeneration Punta Trettu

KiteGeneration is a kitesurfing school in south-west Sardinia. It grew out of a group of kiter friends: the school was founded in Cagliari in 2011, and in 2017 the team set up its centre at Punta Trettu, the Punta Trettu Kite Center, with the support of the Piano Sulcis programme.

Lessons take place mostly at Punta Trettu, a sandy point facing the island of Sant'Antioco, known for its flat, shallow water and steady wind. When conditions do not suit, lessons move to Petrol Beach or Poetto Beach near Cagliari. The Cagliari office is at Via Giardini 15.

The offer includes a 2-hour trial lesson, beginner packages from 3 to 15 hours, intermediate and advanced coaching, freestyle, hydrofoil, kids courses from age 8, equipment rental and a kite camp with on-site accommodation (private rooms and a villa). Instructors are IKO / FIV certified and use radio helmets.

Equipment (kite, board, harness, wetsuit, impact vest, radio helmet) is included in the lesson price. A one-time sports club membership of 10 euros, valid for 12 months, includes the mandatory third-party liability insurance.

Main season in spring, summer and autumn; in winter, lessons are only available on advance booking and depending on the weather.
