KitesurfAlgarve

KitesurfAlgarve.com is an itinerant kitesurf school run by Pedro Serra. Lessons are usually given around Vilamoura, on Faro island and at Alvor; the spot is chosen each day according to the best wind and sea conditions, and other areas of the Algarve are possible.

Meeting points published by the school: Falesia beach in Vilamoura (200 m past lifeguard post no. 5) and Faro beach, after the bridge, left to the end of the road, with a "Barrinha" base at the far end of the island (reached by its own boat). Instructors are certified and the equipment is official.

The course includes level 1 (introduction: equipment, wind window, traction exercises, kite control with harness, body dragging, safety rules), level 2 (directed body drag, waterstart, power control, first rides on the board) and level 3 as private lessons (upwind riding, changes of direction, first jumps). Levels 1 and 2 lead to IKO certification. The school represents the Ocean Rodeo brand, sells new and second-hand gear, rents equipment and repairs kites.
