Be Surf School & Shop is a surf school in the centre of Vila Nova de Milfontes, with a rental and repair shop. It is certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation (no. 612), registered with Turismo de Portugal and recognised as a nature tourism operator (RNAAT 545/2020). It also lists a Lisbon address.
Group, private, children's (from age 8) and corporate lessons run 7 days a week all year, with at most 5 students per instructor. Instructors are FPS-qualified and pick the most suitable beach each day, with waist-deep water and easy waves. The school also teaches stand up paddle and skimboard, and runs adaptive surf sessions in partnership with the SURFaddict association.
The shop rents surfboards, wetsuits, stand up paddle boards, bikes and kayaks, and repairs boards. A surf camp with accommodation is offered a few minutes from Porto Covo.
