SW SUP / Foil Milfontes

SW SUP is a stand up paddle school open to the public since 2017 in Vila Nova de Milfontes, on the Mira river close to where it meets the Atlantic. It describes itself as the only SUP school in Milfontes certified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, and is also recognised by Turismo de Portugal. All clients are covered by accident insurance during lessons.

The offer includes SUP lessons, guided tours on the Mira river, accompanied experiences and board rental. A dedicated branch, Foil Milfontes, teaches wing foil (private or semi-private, maximum 3 people), SUP foil, surf foil, tow foil behind a boat and electric foil (Foil Drive), with foil gear rental and an Axis Foils test centre. Foil camps with accommodation are also offered.

The school has calm river water to learn the basics and, for more experienced riders, waves at the rivermouth about 300 m from the school.
