Kitesurf and wingfoil school founded in 1998 in Mèze, on the shore of the Thau lagoon, between Montpellier and Béziers and facing Sète. Set up by two pioneers from sailing, windsurfing and paragliding, it was one of the very first centres devoted entirely to teaching kitesurfing. Today it also teaches wingfoil, foil and e-foil.
Lessons take place on the Thau lagoon, a vast and sheltered stretch of water with no waves, current or tide, lined with wide sandbanks where beginners can stand. Students leave the Taurus nautical centre aboard one of the school's four boats, which then follow them on the water: no walking back upwind, and coaching through radios built into the helmets. Groups are capped at five students for the first two days of the beginner course, four after that.
On offer: beginner and improver courses from one to five days, private lessons, supervised sessions, towed foil and a board simulator mounted on the boat, developed by the school, which lets students work on the board separately from the kite. All equipment is provided (kites, boards, foils, harnesses, buoyancy vests, helmets). The school also runs kite camps at Beauduc, in the Camargue. The team is made up of five partner instructors holding the French state diploma; the school is affiliated with AFKite and issues the Kitepass.
2026 prices, low season / high season. One day is a session of about 4 hours, kitesurf or wingfoil.
AFKite insurance required, from €26 per year. No card payments: cheque, bank transfer or chèques-vacances.

Meeting time 10am (unless told otherwise the day before), for about 4 hours on the water per day, spread out according to the wind. Kitesurf beginner courses start on Monday, Thursday or Saturday; improver and wingfoil sessions run every day.
