About the craftsman
HappyBay Somo is a workshop making classic surfboards, hand-built with traditional methods: tinted resin, careful finishes and plenty of craft. It is run by two partners, including Matia Zulberti, of Italian origin and based in Cantabria since 2004.
The workshop builds shortboards, mid-lengths and longboards (fish, twin, wing fish, custom) and runs a surf shop with boards in stock, fins, accessories and clothing. The website and Instagram account show recent production and new arrivals.
