Overview

Cavendish is a spot on Prince Edward Island's north coast, in PEI National Park. Cavendish is world-famous as the setting for Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables novels. The national park's red sand beaches, with their erosion-sculpted sandstone cliffs and dunes, provide a spectacular setting for kitesurfing. Northern exposure on the Gulf of St. Lawrence ensures regular windy conditions. Very busy tourist area in summer.
