Overview

Belmont Provincial Park is a provincial park on Prince Edward Island's northwest coast, facing the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The park offers a red sand beach with facilities (camping, restrooms, parking). The northwest exposure to the gulf ensures considerable fetch and regular windy conditions. PEI's characteristic red sand and sandstone cliffs create a unique landscape. Kitesurfing season from June to October.

Eroded red sandstone cliffs — do not ride too close. Coastal currents possible. Bottom can be rocky in places (sandstone). Cold water outside summer. Respect provincial park regulations. Active coastal erosion.
