Overview
Lac Maskinongé is a lake in the Lanaudière region, near Saint-Gabriel-de-Brandon, at approximately 148 meters altitude. This lake offers a good-sized water body for lake kitesurfing.
The lake stretches about 8 km on an east-west axis, with a width of 1 to 3 km. West and southwest winds, dominant in Quebec during summer, offer excellent fetch along the lake. Calm and natural environment, surrounded by forested hills. Season from June to September. Accessible from Montreal in 1.5 hours.

Motorboats and fishing boats, especially on weekends. Possible shallows near shorelines. Frequent summer thunderstorms — monitor weather. Possible venturi effect between hills. Algae possible in late summer.
