Lac Saint-Pierre is the largest widening of the St. Lawrence River, stretching 30 km long and up to 14 km wide. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this exceptional water body lies between Trois-Rivières and Sorel-Tracy. The Pointe-du-Lac spot is on the north shore.
The lake is extremely shallow (3 meters average depth), generating short, fast chop. The vast fetch offers excellent conditions with south and southwest winds. Pointe-du-Lac benefits from easy access and a workable launch area. Season from June to October. One of the major spots in the Mauricie region.
