Gaia Canidelo is the beach on the south bank of the Douro river mouth, in Vila Nova de Gaia — across from Porto. Long sandy beach stretching south. NW Nortada with open Atlantic waves. Intermediate conditions. Close to Porto's famous port wine cellars and the stunning Ribeira waterfront. Good urban spot alternative to Matosinhos on the north side.
