Varcaturo kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf spot
Italy · Campania
Overview
Varcaturo is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots in the Naples region, located on the Domizio coastline north of the city. The long sandy beach stretches facing the Tyrrhenian Sea, offering plenty of space for kiters. The spot is very popular with Neapolitan riders for its proximity to the city and regular wind conditions. The main winds are the Maestrale (NW, side-shore) and Libeccio (SW, side-shore), which blow well on this west/southwest-facing coast. In Ponente (W), the wind arrives onshore with waves. The atmosphere is relaxed with several kite schools set up on the beach. It is the reference spot for kiters in the Naples region.
