Overview

Maronti beach is the largest beach on the island of Ischia, located on the southern coast of the island. This black volcanic sand beach stretches for about 2 km, offering a spectacular setting between sea and thermal springs. The spot is exposed to south winds (Ostro) and southwest winds (Libeccio) coming from the sea. In Scirocco (SE), waves can form. The warm waters of Ischia and the volcanic setting make it a unique spot.

Access by water taxi from Sant'Angelo or on foot via a trail from Barano d'Ischia. No direct parking at the beach. The island is accessible by ferry from Naples or Pozzuoli.
