<![CDATA[Nine Mile Beach is a kitesurfing spot located on the east coast of Tasmania, south of Swansea. As its name suggests, it is a very long sandy beach (about 15 km) offering unlimited space for kitesurfing. It is one of the most popular spots on the Tasmanian east coast. The prevailing wind comes from the northwest to north in summer, blowing offshore to cross-offshore. Waves are moderate on this east coast sheltered from the dominant southwest swells. The bottom is sandy and the beach is very accessible. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for intermediate riders. The water is cold (14-18°C), a thick wetsuit is required. The beach is accessible by car on certain sections. It is an ideal spot for long downwind sessions.]]>
