This charming seaside town is nestled at the foot of Cape Naturaliste and offers a flat, sheltered body of water in the bay, ideal for beginners and intermediates. Dunsborough is a popular holiday destination in the Margaret River region. The prevailing south to southwest winds blow side-onshore in the bay. The protection from Cape Naturaliste creates calmer conditions than on the ocean coast. Summer thermal breezes are regular. The water is flat with shallow water near the shore. Dunsborough has numerous shops, restaurants and accommodations. Parking is easy beachfront. Watch out for swimming areas and reefs in some parts of the bay.
