Overview

Belle River West Beach sits on the south shore of Lake St. Clair, in the community of Belle River (Lakeshore). The beach faces north with moderate fetch across this small, shallow lake. Lake St. Clair connects Lake Huron to Lake Erie.

Municipal parking. Sandy beach, easy launch. The lake is very shallow (average depth 3 m), making it ideal for beginners and intermediates. Warm water from early summer.

Lake St. Clair — small, very shallow lake (average depth 3 m). Warm freshwater in summer (24-28°C). Short chop but limited by shallow depth. Sandy to muddy bottom. Standing depth for long distances.
