The area is relatively shallow near shore, offering appreciated safety for intermediate riders. Easy access from Highway 40, at the junction of the Ottawa and Prairies rivers.
Freshwater lake with good northerly fetch (6-10 km). Moderate chop in sustained wind. Sandy to muddy bottom, shallow near shore. Freshwater reaching 20-24°C in summer. Confluence zone with possible current depending on water levels. Shared navigation on the lake.
