Overview

Petite Lamèque is an iconic kitesurfing spot on Lamèque Island, in northeastern New Brunswick. This is where the Club Wind & Kite is located, a kitesurfing institution in the Canadian Maritimes and a true hidden gem of the east coast. Riders from across Canada come here to enjoy its exceptional conditions. The spot offers a vast shallow body of water between the islands of Lamèque and Miscou, protected by sandbars. The water is warm in summer and the sandy bottom allows walking over great distances. The prevailing winds from south to northwest are consistent and reliable, creating ideal flat water conditions. The Club Wind & Kite offers kitesurfing, wingfoil, and snowkite lessons with certified instructors. The atmosphere is family-friendly and typically Acadian. The season runs from June to September, with the best conditions in July and August. This spot is perfect for beginners thanks to the shallow water, but also offers great sessions for experienced riders.
