Overview

Motueka is a kitesurf spot located in Tasman Bay, in the town of Motueka, on the South Island of New Zealand. This small coastal town is a convenient access point for exploring the many kite spots in the Nelson-Tasman region. The spot is on the beach facing Tasman Bay. The prevailing winds come from the north and northwest, with regular coastal thermals in summer between 10 and 20 knots. The spot is suitable for beginner to intermediate kitesurfers. The town offers all necessary amenities and is a good base for exploring the region.
