Ruby Bay is a kitesurf spot located in Tasman Bay, between Nelson and Motueka, on the South Island of New Zealand. This beach is easily accessible and offers sailing conditions in the sheltered waters of Tasman Bay. The spot benefits from the regular thermal winds of the Nelson region. The best wind directions are north, northeast and northwest. Thermal winds typically blow between 10 and 20 knots. The spot is suitable for beginner to intermediate kitesurfers. The beach offers good space and relatively calm conditions in the bay.
