Overview
Leblanc's Bay is a bay on the south shore of Lac Saint-François, the large widening of the St. Lawrence River between Cornwall and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. The spot is near Dundee, in the Upper St. Lawrence region.
Lac Saint-François offers a vast freshwater body (approximately 50 km long by 5-10 km wide), generating good fetch for north and northwest winds. The bay provides a partially sheltered area, ideal for kitesurfing sessions. Season from June to October.

Fresh water from the widened St. Lawrence River. Pleasant summer temperature (20-24°C). Sandy to muddy bottom. Good fetch with north winds producing formed waves. The bay offers some protection compared to the open lake. Weak current in the bay.
Hazards
Border area with the United States — do not cross the border while sailing. Recreational and fishing boat traffic. Possible shallows on the edges of the bay. Blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) possible in late summer. Wind can pick up quickly on the large lake.
