Honokowai Beach Park is a kitesurfing spot on the west coast of Maui, north of Kaanapali. Northeast trade winds are channeled around the West Maui Mountains and arrive from the north on this coast. The spot offers a body of water with coral reef offshore, creating chop to small wave conditions. The beach is rocky with sandy sections.
