La Pared is a powerful wave spot on the west coast of Fuerteventura, at the narrowest point of the island where the JandĂa peninsula meets the main island. The beach faces west, catching the full force of Atlantic swells.
This is a surf and kitesurf wave spot with powerful, fast-breaking waves. The wind from the NE trades is cross-offshore to side-offshore, creating clean wave faces but also making it dangerous for less experienced riders.
La Pared is famous in the surf community for its consistent waves and dramatic volcanic cliff scenery. For kitesurfers, it's an advanced-to-expert spot offering world-class wave riding conditions.
Powerful beach break with shifting sandbars. Directional board essential. Launch from the sandy beach, ride the waves. Long rides possible on good swell days.
Also excellent for surfing. Shared lineup — respect surfers.

La Pared village is on the west coast of Fuerteventura, about 20 min south of Pájara or 30 min from Costa Calma. Parking near the beach.
Small village with some restaurants and a surf school. No dedicated kite services.
Powerful waves: Atlantic west-facing exposure means serious swell. Waves break hard.
Cross-offshore wind: the NE trade blows offshore at this west-facing beach. Equipment failure = ocean.
Strong currents: rips and longshore drift common.
Rocky sections: volcanic rock at edges of beach.
No rescue service.
NE trade wind blows cross-offshore to side-offshore on this west-facing coast. Cleans up wave faces beautifully. 15–25 knots. Can also work with NW wind (side-shore).
