Seaford kitesurf, wingfoil and paddle spot
Australia · Victoria
Overview
Seaford is a kitesurfing spot located on the east coast of Port Phillip Bay, in Melbourne's southeast suburbs, Victoria. This sandy beach offers a body of water accessible to beginners and intermediates, with generally calm conditions in the sheltered bay.
The prevailing southwest to west winds blow side-shore on this west-facing beach, offering comfortable kitesurfing conditions. Summer thermal breezes strengthen the wind in the afternoon. The water is flat to slightly choppy, with no significant waves.
Seaford is easily accessible from Melbourne by road or train. Parking is available along the beach. Watch out for swimming zones and kitesurfers must maintain a safe distance from swimmers.
