Outer Banks Boarding Company

Outer Banks Boarding Company (OBBC) is a boardsports shop in Nags Head, North Carolina, open since 2002. A family business, it was founded by local surfer and shaper Lynn Shell and his wife Nancy.

Lynn Shell, who has fifty years of board-building experience, designs the Shell Shapes line: the shop displays his boards, locally built boards and models from major labels, and can shape a custom board to the customer's size, style and ability. The team also repairs damaged boards.

The store covers surfing, bodyboarding, skimboarding and skateboarding, with gear, apparel and accessories. It rents soft-top boards by the day or week.

May to December: daily 10 am – 7 pm. January to April: Monday to Saturday 10 am – 6 pm, Sunday noon – 5 pm. Hours vary on holidays (hours listed on the website).
