About
Surf N Sea is a surf shop in the heart of Haleʻiwa on Oʻahu's North Shore, Hawaii. It has been a local fixture since 1965 and occupies a 1921 building listed on the Hawaii Register of Historic Places, just past the Rainbow Bridge. Joe Green, a surfer from Florida, became its sole owner and the business is still run by the family.
The shop sells surfboards (and displays more than 150 vintage boards), beachwear and accessories. It also rents gear: shortboards, longboards, stand-up paddleboards, bodyboards, snorkel sets, kayaks and dive equipment.
Surf N Sea offers beginner surf lessons (2 to 3 hours, board and rash guard included) and private intermediate lessons. Lessons meet at the shop; children aged 12 and under take a private lesson. Students must be able to swim.

Year not stated. Beginner surf lesson (2-3 h): USD 90 per person. Intermediate or private lesson: USD 180 per person. Rentals: shortboard from USD 7 for the first hour (USD 30 half day, USD 150 per week); longboard over 7 ft from USD 10 for the first hour; SUP with paddle from USD 20 for the first hour.
