School Presentation

North Shore Surf Girls is a family-owned surf school in Haleiwa, on Oahu's North Shore, Hawaii, operating since 2005. It was founded by Carol Philips, a surfing pioneer and the first woman to compete against men at Banzai Pipeline. It teaches women and men, couples, families and corporate groups.

Lessons take place at North Shore beaches, including Chun's Reef and Pua'ena Point, as well as near Turtle Bay. Instructors hold Red Cross lifeguard and CPR/first aid certification. Boards and rash guards are provided for every lesson.

The offer includes group, private and semi-private lessons, tandem lessons, women's lessons, and original formats: a surf lesson followed by a sunset barbecue, or a turtle tour with a paddle lesson on the river. The school also rents beach and surf gear.
