Atlantis Surf Shop Taghazout

Atlantis Surf Shop is one of the first surf shops in Taghazout: founded in 2003 according to its own sign and trading for more than eighteen years, it occupies a building made unmistakable by the mural painted across its front, on the village's main street. The shop sells and rents boards and wetsuits — customer reviews mention a well-kept quiver, shortboards as well as longboards — and describes its gear as maintained so it can be taken straight out.

The business is also a surf school, and that is now most of what it publishes: open group lessons capped at six surfers and one-to-one private lessons, for beginners and improvers, with a board matched to the rider's level, wetsuit, leash, wax and accessories included. Every session starts by reading the swell, wind and currents to pick the right spot for the day, moves on to a safety and technique briefing on the sand, then in-water coaching and a personal debrief.

The instructors are Taghazout-born surfers — the shop names Jamal, Ahmed, Rachid and Youness — and it counts seven breaks within reach of the village. Booking is handled online on the website, by card or by reserving and paying cash on arrival at the shop, with confirmation over WhatsApp.

The shop publishes no opening hours.
