Get Wet

Get Wet is an independent boardsports shop that has been at the bottom of Avenue de La Harpe, in the Ouchy district of Lausanne, since 1986. Its founder, Walter Wolleb, a windsurfer who had previously run the Surf Shop in Préverenges for three years, originally devoted it entirely to windsurfing. The shop states that it belongs to no buying group or association.

The range changes with the seasons: watersports and bikes in summer, skiing, snowboarding and ski touring in winter. For the water, it stocks wingfoil gear, windsurfing gear (boards to order), surfing gear (longboards, mals, foam boards, bodyboards), hard and inflatable stand-up paddleboards, wakeboards, wakesurf boards and water skis. Kitesurfing is handled on request: gear is ordered to suit each customer rather than displayed in store.

The shop also sells wetsuits, rash vests, buoyancy vests, helmets and boots from brands such as ION, Prolimit, Rip Curl, Roxy, Dakine and Jobe, as well as Duotone, Fanatic, JP Australia, NeilPryde and Slingshot equipment. It rents out wakeboards and wakesurf boards and services skis and snowboards in its workshop. Get Wet does not give lessons.
