Tulum Beach Resort & Spa is a five-star property at kilometre 12, on the Oum Labouir beach, on the ocean side — not on the lagoon. Guests sleep in villas, bungalows and cabins with private terraces and gardens, or in suites facing the sea, the garden or the water's edge, in a bohemian-chic setting of natural materials. The airport is less than twelve kilometres away and the hotel runs the transfer.
Watersports are handled by a nautical centre hosted on the hotel's own beach. The school offers introductory sessions and coaching at every level — beginner, intermediate, advanced — in private or group lessons with experienced instructors, covering freestyle and wave kitesurfing, kite foiling, wing foiling, surfing and stand up paddle. Equipment is available for rent on site. For riding the lagoon itself, the hotel runs a ten-minute shuttle to its sister property, Bavaro Beach Dakhla.
The rest of the resort amounts to five restaurants and bars — the Chiringuito Cabana on the beach, the Azur restaurant, Lina's Lounge, the Yasmine restaurant and The View bar — a spa and fitness area, a business centre, and two children's clubs, the Kids Club Vamos for ages 4 to 8 and the Play Club for ages 9 to 17. A laundry service and private excursions around the region round out the offer.
No prices are published on the hotel's website, neither for rooms nor for the nautical centre's lessons and rentals: the “Book” and “Rates” buttons lead to the property's booking engine.
No season or opening hours are published by the hotel, for the nautical centre no more than for the resort itself. To be checked with the property.
