Westpoint is an eco-lodge of 40 two-storey bungalows on Oum Lambouir beach, on the Atlantic side, some ten kilometres north of Dakhla. It faces the long right-hander of Foum Labouir, one of the best-known wave spots in the region, and it runs its own surf, kitesurf and wingfoil academy. That double activity — housing and teaching — is why it is listed here as a school, even though hospitality remains its main business.
The academy takes beginners as well as experienced riders: three to five days are enough, the centre says, to ride independently. Every instructor is IKO or VDWS certified, and a rescue and assistance service runs all day. Depending on the season and the wind, lessons take place either in front of the hotel, on the ocean, or on the Dakhla lagoon at the watersports bases of the group's Dakhla Attitude and PK25 hotels, via the DRIFTER shuttle, free for guests. Strapless kitesurfing, surfing and stand-up paddle complete the programme, and gear can be rented on site, with optional insurance.
The property belongs to the Dakhla Hospitality Group, which also runs Dakhla Attitude, PK25, Lagon Energy, La Crique and Les Dunes de Dakhla. On site: a natural seawater pool, a main restaurant and the Pescador seafood table facing the waves, and bungalows sleeping up to four with an ocean view.
Rate card published by the property, effective from 9 November 2025. Three price levels depending on the period: high season, standard and low season — the ranges below run from the low-season to the high-season rate. A lesson lasts 2 hours; in semi-private format one instructor takes two students.
Open all year: the season calendar published by the property covers all twelve months without a gap. Opening hours for the watersports centre are not published.
High season: 23/12/2025 to 17/02/2026, 19/03 to 31/08/2026, 15/09 to 30/11/2026.
