One Palm Surf School

One Palm is a surf school and surf shop in Léon (Landes), run by Christophe and Rachel, who have been welcoming students for about twenty years. Check-in is at the shop, 165 Grand'rue, in the town centre, and lessons take place at La Lette Blanche beach, in Léon's protected natural area.

The school teaches surfing (also bodyboard, longboard or bodysurf) from age 5, from beginner to improver level, as well as stand up paddle, either on a guided trip on Lake Léon or in the waves. Board and wetsuit are included in the packages. Instruction is provided by a state-certified instructor (BE surf) who also holds the BNSSA lifeguard certificate. Lessons in French, English and Spanish; ANCV holiday vouchers accepted.

The shop sells clothing, accessories, surfboards, foils, stand up paddles, wetsuits, skateboards and bodyboards, and offers rentals and a shaping and repair workshop run by Christophe, a shaper for 20 years. One Palm is the exclusive distributor of the Korvenn brand in the south-west. Camps and courses during the Easter and All Saints' holidays.

Open all year. School reception in the town centre of Léon, non-stop from 9am to 8pm.
