École de surf Les Vagues

The Les Vagues surf school was founded in 2020 by Benjamin Pilon, a state-qualified surf instructor with over fifteen years of teaching. Vice-champion of France in surf in 2006, he also won the Landes championship several times and was sporting director of the Santocha Capbreton Surf Club for ten years. The hut is on the Notre-Dame beach in Capbreton.

Group lessons (up to 8 people, from age 7 if the child can swim) and private lessons (up to 4 people, from age 5 depending on level and conditions) are open to beginners, intermediates and experts, with no prior level required; swimming 25 m is required. A session lasts about 2 hours including about 1h30 in the water. A surf club runs all year for children and adults outside the summer season.

Rental includes boards, bodyboards and wetsuits. The hut is on the beach from April to September.
