Surftrip Surfschool

Surftrip Surfschool is a surf school on the Plage Sud in Hossegor, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026. In 2012 it went through an audit of over 200 points with the Landes departmental tourism board and obtained the Qualité Tourisme label in 2013. It is affiliated to the French Surfing Federation and follows its teaching charter.

The offer includes 2-hour group lessons (1h30 in the water, up to 8 people, equipment included), private lessons, lessons for kids ("pitchounes"), a club with children, teen and adult groups, packs, and formulas for groups, works councils, stag and hen parties, holiday camps and sports clubs. Paddle is offered with a partner on the Hossegor lake.

Instructors hold the state diploma and first-aid training. The school rents more than 100 boards and wetsuits: foam and resin surfboards, longboards, bodyboards, fins, full and shorty wetsuits, booties. Rental is available all year, with rates decreasing with duration.

The school is open April to October: 9am-7pm in July-August, 10am-6pm for the rest of the season.
