Sirenas del Surf

Sirenas del Surf is a small women's surf outfit based in Las Tunas, on the Manabí coast of Ecuador. It is run by Iva, who guides each participant in the water and shapes every stay around the women who join.

The offer includes tailor-made trips of 3 to 10 days (the one-week format is the most popular), "Salty Awakening" weekends for Ecuadorian women, and single sessions or session packs for women living nearby. Groups stay small, usually 2 to 4 women, with private, pair or small-group formats.

Beginners learn on longboards and funboards, soft-top or fibreglass; shorter boards are available for intermediate surfers, who can also bring their own. Stays combine surfing with yoga, hikes, snorkelling and healthy meals. The website suggests flying into Guayaquil (about 3 hours by road) or Manta (about 2 hours), and a transfer can be arranged.
