Otra Ola

Otra Ola is a surf, Spanish and yoga school on the Manabí coast, in Ayampe and Las Tunas. It opened in 2010, founded by a Canadian couple, Ryan and Vanessa, who moved to Ecuador in 2008.

Surf lessons are open to every level: instructors adapt each session to the student. The school also rents boards. It recently moved to a beachfront hotel in Las Tunas, with a restaurant, a pool and a jacuzzi to recover after a surf session.

Otra Ola also offers yoga classes and Spanish lessons taught by Ecuadorian teachers, in person or online, as well as accommodation, so a stay of a week or a month can combine waves, language and relaxation.

Surf lessons and rentals: every day from 9 am to sunset. Spanish classes: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
