Salty Sols Surf School is a small surf school in Tamarindo, Guanacaste, founded by Eric, a well-regarded instructor in town. Its shop is downstairs at the Best Western Tamarindo Vista Villas hotel, on the main street.
Lessons suit children and adults, beginners and more advanced surfers: group, semi-private (2 to 3 people) or private. Board, rash guard and a storage room are provided.
The school also rents boards by the day (with a discount for students) and runs three-hour stand-up paddle tours around Tamarindo or to a secluded beach, with snorkelling gear, a snack and a drink.
