Waveriders Surf School is a surf school in Tamarindo, Guanacaste, teaching since 2013. It is based at Plaza Esmeralda in the centre of town.
Lessons are always private or private group: you are never placed with other customers. They last 1.5 hours, with instruction on the beach and in the water, and include a rash guard, board, locker, shower and a fruit smoothie afterwards. An instructor stays with the student throughout, with at most four students per instructor; children aged 11 and under get an additional instructor.
The school offers beginner lessons and advanced surf coaching. It is open every day from 8am to 6pm.
