Lycans Surf School is a surf school in Tamarindo, Guanacaste. It describes itself as born from its founder's love of surfing. Teaching is bilingual (English and Spanish), by ISA-certified instructors.
Lessons last 90 minutes, with board and rash guard provided and progression feedback. Sessions are scheduled around high tide for safer, more consistent waves. Family and friend groups stay together and are not mixed with other students. Packages of 3 and 5 sessions are available, with an optional photo and video analysis add-on.
The school also runs guided surf trips to Playa Avellanas and Playa Grande for independent surfers, rents boards and offers excursions and sport fishing charters.
