Surf Coach Tama

Surf Coach Tama is the school of Nacho Pacheco, a surf instructor from Tamarindo on Costa Rica's Guanacaste Pacific coast. It offers private lessons suited to beginners, families and returning surfers.

Each lesson starts with beach instruction (technique, ocean safety) and continues in the water according to the day's tides and sandbars. No experience is needed. Bookings go through WhatsApp.

Part of the project is charitable: lessons fund free weekly sessions for local kids, in partnership with the nonprofit Hero Academy, and more than twenty boards have already been given to young local surfers.
