Tidal Wave Surf Academy is a surf school in Tamarindo, Guanacaste. Its instructors are certified by the ISA (International Surfing Association) and follow its teaching and safety methods.
Lessons take place on the south side of Tamarindo beach, at the Capitan Suizo spot, which suits beginners. Adult lessons last two hours, kids' lessons (ages 6 to 10) 90 minutes. You can choose private, semi-private (2 students), group (3 to 4) or big group (5+) sessions. Board, rash guard, organic sunscreen and fresh fruit are included.
The school also offers 3- and 5-day courses, packages combining surf, skate and yoga, surf camps and retreats, and tours around the area.
