Rusty Miller Surf

Rusty Miller Surf is a small family-run surf school in Byron Bay that calls itself the town's original surf school. It has been teaching for decades in the Aloha surfing tradition, with private lessons for individuals and families.

It holds an exclusive licence for one-on-one teaching at Watego's Beach, below Cape Byron (Australia's most easterly point), and at The Pass, known as one of the most consistent and friendly waves to learn on. Lessons suit beginners as well as experienced surfers wanting to fine-tune their technique.

Each lesson lasts 1.5 to 2 hours and all equipment (board, wetsuit, wax) is provided. Rusty Miller also offers gift vouchers, photographic prints, his book Neverland and a Byron guide.
