Blackdog Surfing School is a family-run surf school in Byron Bay, open since 2001. It is one of the few schools licensed to teach on the town's beaches, in a marine park where dolphins are often seen.
Group lessons range from a one-day, 3-hour introduction to 2, 3 and 5-day packages, and 2-hour private lessons are available. The instructors are qualified lifeguards with many years of coaching experience. The school guarantees you will stand up in your first lesson or you can come again for free.
Equipment hire and a Surf and Stay package with accommodation are also offered.
